SRA International, Inc. (NYSE: SRX) has leased in excess of 10,000 square feet at MetWest One for its new regional office. The firm, headquartered in Fairfax, Va., is a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to both government organizations and commercial clients.

Taylor & Mathis Managing Director of Leasing Angela Odell negotiated the lease on behalf of the owner, MetLife. SRA was represented by Bill Obregon of CB Richard Ellis.

"We are excited to welcome SRA to MetWest International," stated Chuck Davis, regional director of MetLife's Tampa real estate investment office. "The opening of the SRA regional office is not only great news for this development but also for the city of Tampa."

The Tampa office will serve as a focal point for SRA's business expansion in the Tampa area. Representatives from the mayor's office, the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise Florida, Hillsborough County, the City of Tampa and Tampa Hillsborough EDC were in attendance for the firm's ribbon cutting on November 9.

"For SRA, the Tampa office represents opportunities for on the ground partnership and collaboration with MacDill Air Force Base," said SRA Senior Vice President of the National Security Sector Gordy McElroy. MetWest International is a mixed-use center being redeveloped by MetLife. Located in the Westshore Business District, across from Tampa International Airport and International Plaza, MetWest International includes the existing One MetroCenter and MetWest One, the first of three new office buildings. The two later phase office buildings will be started as demand dictates. When complete, the pedestrian, urban-oriented development will include:

• Nearly one million square feet of Class A office space
• 74,200 square foot retail village
• 260 room full-service upscale hotel
• 254 residential units
