ONE METROCENTER RECEIVES BUILDING OF THE YEAR AWARD

The Greater Tampa Bay chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) has recognized One MetroCenter with The Office Building of the Year award.
One MetroCenter, part of MetWest International, was recognized as The Office Building of the Year in the 100,000 to 249,999 square foot category. The building will be included in BOMA’s Southern Regional competition in May.
The Office Building of the Year award is the most prestigious and comprehensive program of its kind in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing quality in office buildings and rewarding excellence in office building management. During the competition, all facets of a building's operations are thoroughly evaluated. Buildings are judged on everything from community involvement and site management to environmental and "green" policies and procedures.

About One MetroCenter - The 11-story, 240,320 square foot, Class A multi-tenant office building is situated within MetWest International, a 32-acre mixed use development in the heart of Tampa’s Westshore Business District. This latest award marks the third recognition for MetWest International in recent months. In December, NAIOP recognized MetWest One, the development’s Gold LEED certified, Class A office building, as Outstanding Office Building of the Year. In addition, NAIOP named Taylor & Mathis of Florida LLC Developer of the Year that same month for their role as development manager of the mixed-use project.
MetLife is redeveloping the 32-acre MetWest International into a mixed-use center. Located across from Tampa International Airport and International Plaza, transformation of the site includes the existing One MetroCenter and MetWest One, the first of three new office buildings, completed earlier this year. The two later phase office buildings will be started as demand dictates. When complete, this pedestrian-friendly, urban-oriented development will include:
